Conditions of Entry

MEDICAL HISTORY / FITNESS CONFIRMATION

Please note that this cycle ride is physically demanding and you should therefore be reasonably fit and enjoy sufficient good health to participate. If you have any medical condition which could be adversely affected by exercise, particularly a heart condition or if you have any doubt about your health, you must consult your doctor.

You must confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, your general state of fitness is good and that you take full responsibility of yourself.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Registration

To register for the Century Cycle Challenge please ensure you read the medical declaration above and these conditions of entry and complete the on line form found on the web site. Payment is only accepted via PayPal.

Please note that this fee is non-refundable and non transferable.

Registration forms and payments for the ride must be received by Friday 14th April 2017. Verbal confirmation of your intention to enter will not be accepted. Any registration forms received after the deadline will be returned, without exception.

Insurance

You are responsible for your own bike and other personal possessions. The organising committee and charitable organisations cannot be held responsible for any losses or damages incurred.

Safety

This event is not a race and the highway code must be obeyed at all times. It is compulsory to wear a helmet whilst cycling. Failure to do so may result in injury. You are responsible for the roadworthiness of your own bicycle however old. If fancy dress is worn it must be safe to ride in (masks and capes are discouraged as they are deemed dangerous). The organising committee and charitable organisations cannot be held responsible for any personal injuries you may sustain.

Children

Children aged 16-18yrs wishing to ride should be accompanied by a minimum of 1 adult per 5 cyclists riding with them.

Children under the age of 16 wishing to ride should be accompanied by a minimum of 1 adult per 3 cyclists riding with them.

Disclaimer

The organising committee, the charities or it’s employees or agents cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal effects, accident, injury or death however so arising.
